My husband and I are considering relocating to the Louisville area from Charlotte, Nc. I have been looking for rentals on rentalhouses.com and craigslist, I looked online in the newspaper and there were virtually no homes for rent listed. I am wondering where else I can look, are there shopper type papers online? The job he is considering taking is in New Albany, at this point we don't have a preference between the IN side or the KY side, we just want a nice safe affordable place to live with a good school system while we get settled into the area. So any suggestions as to where I can look for rentals and neighborhoods and areas that fit what we are looking for.

I have a house listed with the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors. There are many listed there. Try Realtor.com too.

I have heard that craigslist is good too but I am not sure if that is true.

I'd recommend the Sunday ONLY Courier-Journal and look in the real estate section for areas 2 & 3 in Lville as well as Indiana. You should call on any good adds FIRST thing Sunday morning. Otherwise, Craigslist or Realtor.com

The BEST way is to drive around an area you like and call the numbers on the for rent signs in the yards...craigslist is the best for online browsing. I would start by driving each and every street that crosses bardstown or baxter avenue from broadway to I-264.
