I am moving to Louisville from Michigan in mid-July. I will be working at Oxmoor Centre. Does anyone know of apartment complexes (1 Bed/1 Bath) nearby that are under $550 & will take dogs (black lab)? Also, I would like it if you could pay the rent month-by-month or up to a 6-month lease. If anyone has any suggestions for me I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

So you will be working in retail? What is your age range and interests and what brings you to Louisville? You will be hard pressed to find a really nice one bedroom in that area for that price but craigslist may have some options. Most of the nicer complexes start at 600-700 for a one bedroom close to oxmoor. The two nicest ones are camden oxmoor, which is within walking distance of Oxmoor, and Waterford Place, about a mile away.

I'm 25 years old & I'll be working in management. The job actually brings me to Louisville. My sister & her husband live in Lexington & I will be working for the same company as her. I don't need a REALLY nice apartment or anything fancy, just something average & safe within a few miles of the mall. Thanks for the info!

There are lots of nice apartments off LaGrange Road. I used to live in Slate Run and really liked it
