Question about Louisville? (Albany: shop, train, housing)

I visited Louisville but didn't make it across the bridge to Indiana, is that a nice area as well on that side? or is it much like the Louisville side. I love the downtown, and the riverwalk along the river, I am wondering if the Indiana side was anything close to that? Or if the downtown riverside was even nicer. Can anyone tell me?

Topo - I think the links below may help - and as whether it is as nice - is usually a matter of opinion. There are park areas on the river, but I am not sure whether they have progresed as much as Louisville. Try the links to see if your questions are answered - you may alos want to try posting in the Indiana forum - asking about the area, things to do, etc.
I do know many commute from Indiana each day to work in Louisville Metro - and almost as many go the other way to the hospital setting and medical community in Floyd and Clark counties.
From what I remember (and it has been a little while) you have to travel a little furthere up I-65 to hit shopping, etc. - but the cities on the river are smaller - although wonderful in their own right.

Oh - and one thing I know only from conversations with friends who have family in Indiana on the river - the housing is somewhat cheaper, but the view and the historiacl content are there. Downtown NewAlbany is a wonderfully historic town - but much smaller than Louisville.

It's all in what you are seeking! Hopefully, if things go as planned (been in the works for years) citizens will soon be able to walk across the Ohio via the old train bridge. This has been talked about for years, work started and stopped - but that is something many of us look forward to.
