I need help! I'm dying to move out of anniston alabama!!! My husband and I are 20 and trying to find something better...we have no kids, just 2 cats and a rat. :P I've been to louisville once, but it was for no more than a week about 10 years ago,.....are there good job opportunities there? which areas are safe, and which should i avoid? Will we be able to adjust from AL? Is there plenty of stuff for young people to do (sports, museums, shopping, art and theater, music, etc)? Thanks for all the info!

Louisville is a very good place for young people. Lots of stuff to do -- great music scene, great restaurants, lots of activities like Fourth Street Live. We are a very nice combination of an arts scene and a sports scene, so there is something for everyone here.

Avoid the West End (Portland, Smoketown, etc) and you will be fine.

Overall, Louisville is a very safe city. 8th safest large city in the USA to be exact.

Tons of stuff for you to do. Great arts scene, nightlife, museums, theatre, music, restaurants, etc. Louisville has all of that. You won't be bored.

Finding a job shouldn't be too hard, it all depends on what you want to do.
