Mike Linnings Restaurant - Google Maps

They have a menu posted off the Levee Bike trail... I noticed they even serve frog legs and alligator! I know they call out over a loud speaker when people's food is ready. They got rave reviews on Google.

Anyone ever ate there?

Yeah years ago and it was OK. The place is known for stuff like turtle soup and frog legs, but has the usual Louisville deep fried fish. I actually liked the long-gone Cape Codder better.

Missy should be able to fill you in as I bet she's been there.

Yeah I have been there a couple a times. It is ok, nothing to write home about though the portions are big. If you want faster service don't wait in line, alert a waitress and seat yourselves, you'll get your service very quick then

Very, very casual. Large portions -- the frog legs are the size of chicken legs! I think it's good food. Not great, but good. An excellent value for the money, imo.

Anyone tried their alligator? How's their catfish?

Cracker Barrell actually has the best catfish I've ever eaten

I have had their catfish, not bad. The alligator I hear is pretty tough. If you ever go to Pigeon Forge Huck Finn's has great catfish.

I've grown up going to this place. I think it's a really great place to go. The portions are big, as mentioned. Don't forget to walk down to the river through the woods!

Im suprised no one noted that one of the appeals of Mike Linnigs (in the warmer months) is the outdoor beer garden/picnic grove seating.
