Yes and no. In general, it is a real estate "rule of thumb" not to buy on busy steets. However, Easten Parkway is a vey prestigious street in the city especially as you head east of Poplar Level. It was never meant to handle th traffic it does (which is not too bad), and it was part of the original Olmstead Parkway system that makes the city unique and pretty. I would certainly look at homes there and any street intersecting it.

How did your showings go? I see there are listings all over the place now. It seems the realtors media blitz has convinced anyone even remotely thinking of selling to do it now.

Merriweather certainly has momentum going for it. All other things being equal, I'd take a house on Fetter or Texas over a house on Shelby. That's not to say the house on Shelby is in a bad area... but merely my preference.

I see the house at 862 Fetter, dropped to $125,000, that seems at least $15K under market even for a 2 bedroom based on recent comps. Feel free to PM me if you'd like more detail on the area.
