This is somewhat to bring the Basketball thread topic of Kentucky back on topic...there was some interest in Kentucky and guns on that thread.

Since there was interest in Kentucky & guns...I remembered this Time news article on a Pastor who invited his congregation to bring guns to church.

This might be a good intro for the posters who seemed interested in that topic..

That news item about bringing guns to church received attention worldwide.

I personally have no problem with that, but more importantly, church should be for worshipping the Lord. A gun for personal protection is ok as far as I'm concerned, but I think much more appropriate would be to bring something to send (if possible, one's self, though not everyone can do this) to the relief effort in Haiti. God Bless those people there (and in other places too, both in other lands and here in America) that are in dire straits.
