I have been offered a position in Jeffersonville, IN. I am wanting to know a more more information about the area, the walkability aspect, how much 1 bedroom apartments are, what the safest parts of north Louisville area are, etc. Any information would be very much appreciated.
The address for employment is 1201 E 10th street to give some reference.

GS

Yes. What can you tell me about that area in general, and what the safest parts are? Thanks.

My sister lives off 10th street in the Northaven subdivision and she loves it. There are several fast food places and not much sit down and such but I believe that overall it is a nice area. My Mom works at the Census bureau and lives here in Louisville.

missymomof3,
That is great to know Do you have an idea regarding whether their are apartments or housing that is walkable to where the Census Bureau complex is, or is everything spread out in the 10th street area? Also, the names of good apartments would be very much appreciated

I'm sorry, I don't live over there but there are apartments near where my sister lives and depending on how far you will walk doesn't seem too far.

Excellent. It sounds like a plethora of different types of houses and apartments are in close proximity to the Census Bureau. That is exactly what I want to hear. I prefer riding and walking if it means using my car less.
