A Louisville judge has sent two children back to an abusive home without hearing evidence regarding the facts about their abuse.

Ryan and Hunter, ages three and four, were removed from their mother on February 3, after their father obtained an emergency protective order on their behalf. Hunter had been bitten by his mother. Ryan had been choked, thrown across a bedroom, and had his nose rubbed into a puddle of urine.

Following the assault on Hunter, Child Protective Services was notified by the children's grandmother. CPS investigated and substantiated the abuse. But incredibly, they allowed the boys to remain in the home despite bite marks clearly evident on Hunter's body.

Upon learning of CPS's failure to act, their father obtained an EPO in an attempt to protect them. On February 22, the case came before Judge Stephen George in the Jefferson Family Court. Judge George dissolved the restraining order and returned them to their abusive home without even allowing witnesses to testify about the abuse the boys had suffered.

It is my opinion that Judge George's failure to give a full and fair hearing to two small children in physical danger constitutes judicial misconduct. I believe he should be removed from the bench before he has a chance to put more children at risk. I have therefore filed a complaint with the Judicial Conduct Commission. I urge every reader here to contact them at (859) 233-4128 and urge them to remove him from the bench.

It's child abuse enough to use "Hunter" and "Ryan" as first names. I can just picture these people.

Thanks very much. I believe they helped get the original EPO. I'll contact them and see if they can be of any more assistance.

Again, thanks.

If you'd like to read about the continuing struggle to make Louisville authorities responsible for their failure to protect Ryan and Hunter, go to www.ryanandhunter.blogspot.com. It also has pictures of Hunter and his injuries. You'll be shocked.

Angry What is wrong with this judge? You need to listen to all sides to make an enformed decision!

What the Hell is wrong with this Judge? There was evidence to show abuse, the father was gravely concerned enough to get a restraining order and to send those children back into that! He need not be a judge in my opinion!
