Hey guys, just moved to Louisville. I wanted to know if there are any nice local jewelry stores that have a nice selection of engagement rings. I try to stay away from chains whenever possible, but if I was forced to go to one, I would probably go to Shane. Does the Shane in this area have a nice reputation for quality and service? Anyone have any experience with them?

Try Staples Jewelry near the corner of Hurstbourne Lane and Shelbyville Road. They have an excellent selection, great quality, and great prices. They are not a chain. My husband purchased my engagement ring there and received excellent service, plus the ring is beautiful. I highly recommend it.

My husband bought my engagement ring at Shane's and we have bought all our jewelry from them since then (including wedding bands). We would never go with chain stores as the quality of their stones tend be low. My ring from Shane's is near colorless and the clarity of the diamond is wonderful (VVS2). My experience with their customer service has always been great and they offer many complimentary services.

I have done business with Shane for many years! First, I trust them! That is what is most important to me.

I have bought a number of items from them, including an engagement ring and wedding ring ... And whenever I am back home I make time to take my jewelry in for an evaluation and cleaning .... Including a platinum ring with a 50+ year old diamond in it.

They are A+++ in my book!

HUGz and congratulations! Jules

I am partial to the downtown Jewlers. Seng IMO is the best.

But I also love Aesthetics in Jewelry. They are a private jeweler on 4th and chestnut but they get some of the best estate and antique rings you will ever see, wholesale from NY.
