Seriously, can anyone let me know just how bad of a travel will this commute be? I'm coming down this weekend to look at and probably put an offer on at least 1 home. 40 min drive isn't bad as long as traffic is moving unlike here in DC where a 40 min drive you'd be lucky to travel 10 miles.

Default Drive time

Bill,

It's at most 40 minutes either direction to Ft Knox from Shepherdsville. Assuming the house is near I-65 and Hwy 44, you can get to Ft Knox two ways. The first is to travel west on Hwy 44 until 31W (Dixie Hwy) and then head south. The other way is to head south on I-65 until Hwy 313 (exit 102) and head west on Hwy 313 until 31W (Dixie Hwy) and head north. There won't be any 'rush hour' traffic until you get close to the gates at Knox. Some maps may show other access gates but you can only get onto Ft Knox near Radcliff (from the west). If you have additional questions, feel free to IM.
