For the HRC in the DC area, some will be coming this summer while the bulk will be there prior to June 2010.

Except individual people, most directorates aren't starting the migration until June; everything is set to be completed by Sep 2010

Default HRC - Home for Sale

I know, I know.....but just because the realtors are busy stirring up listings for buyers coming to Knox - recently retired officer has his home for sale in Radcliff. Cool place - check Craigslist listing (168,500K) Stone ranch - minutes from post. 5 minutes to Walmart and accessible to Elizabethtown and everything really....Just figured it's worth mentioning. Good luck in your housing search ( Army rules!)

Beware - Realtor.com Don't believe sq footage - Realtors here do not have to list room sizes and I've seen variations off by 1000sqft+. Even saw a beautiful home with pics over 4400sqft - when I was on the way Realtor called to let me know those were old pictures and not reflective of its current condition - "but could he show me something else".
Just a note - if you're thinking of Shephardsville North to Louisville use a Louisville Realtor same with Etown, Radcliff use local Realtors - different Multiple Listing Services and lock boxes.

Sellers are going to be very upset - because I know many HRC members are saying they are moving to Ft Knox because they want to stretch their jobs out - but many of them simply are not coming. I know different but the Rumor mill in DC is they have crosses burning in Shepherdsville - like I said I know its not true but thats the rumors.

I'm in DC right now and coming to Ft. Knox the first week of may. We have been told a lot of negatives about Bullitt County (Shepherdsville) but most who are coming are concentrating on Elizabethtown and Louisville anyway. I'm going to Vine Grove (soon as our house is finished.)

The discrepancy in square footage may be possibly because some are adding on the basement's square footage to the total house square footage. It is somewhat misleading but buyer beware.

I wouldn't be surprised with a lot of HRC not coming to KY. A lot of people in DC are pretty ignorant about Kentucky. I've gotten some pretty crazy reactions when I tell people I'm moving there, mainly because I'm black. My main concern is about finding a job not racism. I've lived in military areas all my life (AF brat) and have found them to be mostly racially accepting. It has to be better than here in DC where people dont even realize that I exist on this earth (which is shocking when you find out that I am 6'4 and around 300)
