Well,

The reason I signed-up for a City-Data handle is to pose questions about Albuquerque since I am being transferred there. After all, at it's core, the forum is a relocation site.

I didn't do a whole lot of questioning ABQ but I sure have enjoyed the Texas and other CD forums a lot! It was actually quite distracting from my original mission.

I grew up here and I'll sure miss it. Albuquerque's ok, I guess but I still think Texas is the best damn state in the Union!

¡Hasta La Vista! I'll miss you!

Good luck spirit! Lubbock's a great place, and I'll miss it, but it's time for me to move on as well. I'm heading out to Houston or Austin in August.

As one who owns a large home in Albuquerque and a small farm north of Lubbock, I'll have to take Lubbock. I love Albuquerque and New Mexico but the call of my Texas roots is too strong.

Westerner92, I don't envy any move to Houston but best of luck.

Best day of my life was looking in the rear view mirror and seeing Lubbock slowly dissappearing into the distance.

That's a bit of a cliche, now isn't it? Perhaps I got out of the Hub just in time, after living there only for high school and my lower division university work, so I'm left with those mostly good memories of my early 1970's mid- to late adolesence.

Good luck, I love Albuquerque.

Good luck to you too Westerner, I hope you like it here. Don't listen to High Plains, there is much to love here

Well, it's not set in stone, but if I move to Houston, it would be inside the Loop, which I find to be a nice and interesting place. Adapting to the humidity, though, will definitely be something that comes with great difficulty.

how long are you planning on staying outside? Don't tell me you are coming here to cut grass?

I am enjoying the humidity right now, it is at about 100% right now

I have never been able to adapt well to humidity, anywhere, even after 6 months.

Good luck on that one! Houston has a LOT to offer in so many ways, but the climate is not one of them, LOL! You'll have quite an adventure, I'm sure!
