Any opinions on car repairs. I just have had my car into Pope's automotive twice in the last week to get the AC fixed. $600 and all kinds of promises that it works now, it doesn't work at all. How can people just lie to you with a straight face and sleep like a baby???

Anyhow. Its a Ford. If it was a GM I wouldn't hesitate to take it to Scoggin-Dickey, but its not. Last Ford I'll ever buy. Anyone know a good repair shop? I may just punt and take it to the dealer.

Well, no response?? Anyhow, I'm going to try McGavock. I bought two cars from them. Great people to deal with. Did not get took or get the feeling I was getting took. Others I trust also recommend them. They used to also be a Mercury dealer, so they should have some people who still know how to fix this thing.

The dealership would work of course. Scott's has always been fair. There's three or four around town. I sent two daughters to Tech and when they had car issues I always sent them there.

Prock Automotive on 34th. I had 4WD overhaul and master cylinder replacement done by them on a 1987 Toyota Landcruiser about 7 years ago. Still going strong today. Honest and dependable.

I've gone to Nick's a couple of times and they always had a fair price.

I can't vouch for other automotive services but I highly recommend Curry Automotive in Littlefield for mufflers and tailpipes and Hill's Service Center in Sudan for AC repairs. Both have done excellent work for me in the past.
