Is it possible to petition grades off your transcript if it does not pertain to your major?

I was an engineering major for about a year before figuring out that I hated what I was going to school for. Now all those C's considered good in engineering (at the time Tech had a 75% fail rate in physics classes) is killing my current GPA. I do not need these credits for my major and would much rather have a GPA that pertains to my accounting major.

If your are talking about removing the lower grades from a transcript so that the calculation of the overall GPA is raised, I've never heard of any school doing that. That would be unfair to other students and a very disingenuous.

It's a transcript. If someone reads it, they'll see that you were taking engineering classes you weren't interested in. On your résumé, it is perfectly reasonable to put what your major GPA is. You shouldn't have anything to worry about. People change majors all the time.
