Pretty much what Westerner said. Aside from the dust and the wind (which admittedly can get straight up awful), Lubbock weather is generally pretty nice. The summers aren't too hot, the winters aren't too cold, and fall and spring are both pretty nice. The variability in Lubbock is pretty intense though. One day it will be 32 degrees outside and snowing, the next it will be 94 and scorching. You have to be ready for that type of change.

Can't believe it beat ****in' Fairbanks though. Fairbanks has some downright ball busting weather.

Lived in Texas for a very long time but went to Lubbock for a university tour for my son. It was my first time there. OMG on the dust. The sky was brown much of the time and my car is a dustmobile. All is good though it is still where my son wants to be.
