I wish there was an easy way to track this as I would be interested as well. Unfortunately, even Realty Times does not carry a "market snapshot" for Lubbock. I drove through much of the SW section (outside the Loop) last Saturday and there are a LOT of homes for sale. I know out here north of the City, rural properties with acreage seem not to stay listed for long. Those are the ones I have sort of been watching.

Lubbock just has an incredibly stable real estate market in general, neither a buyer's nor seller's market. However, I have had a few family friends say that oil companies are starting to move in and put in offers on houses in town, so I'm afraid prices might start to bubble like they have in Midland (which is about twice as expensive as Lubbock right now).

My Brother in Law looked for months for a house, and there were a whole bunch of houses to look through, but they were actually selling.

I am having a hard time getting realtors to stay in consistent contact. I'll ask a question and get a reply, but follow up questions are ignored. Have tried two realtors/companies so far. Any suggestions?

None. But the market is pretty stable, not great for buyers or sellers. Lubbock is a little on the laid back side. Don't be surprised if realtors don't knock you over trying to serve you.
