Can someone help...I am looking for the names of oil field companies in the Lubbock area. Anything within 1,5 hours of Lubbock.
Thanks in advance

Midland is 1.75 hours away. Otherwise no oil companies to speak of.

Try looking in Levelland, there are a number of oil companies in Levelland and Sundown which are roughly 30 minutes from Lubbock. Oil activity has been continuous in that area since the 30's. My grandfather retired from an oil company in Sundown in the late 60's, my daughter works for one in Levelland, my SIL for a different one and he drives back and forth from Lubbock to do so.

If you care to get a bit farther from Lubbock, Denver City and Seminole have very active oilfield work too, and even have some refinery and recovery activity.

Lubbock proper has little activity, however West and Southwest has some, and further South in the Snyder area is plenty busy too.

Check out Oxy for a large company, but there are numerous smaller service companies providing all sorts of jobs, from drilling to wireline, truck driving and service too. Do some research and you will find tons of companies in the area.

There are service companies and people who work for them in the area. Look in Levelland. I'm pretty sure Haliburton is there.

Layoffs are happening on a daily basis. Nobody should be coming this way to find an oilfield job. Things will eventually get better but today isn't that day.

Yea, it's gonna be a while. I say no earlier then late 2016, until then you better find someting else to do because it's gonna get worse before it gets better. Then when it does it will not be as crazy as it has been, there is a new reality and cheap oil is here to stay for a while.
