Hello everybody!
I'm a caring-worried mother looking for good recommendations on apartments close to Amarillo College, I don't know the city very much and I'm worried about finding a good neighborhood for my college student.

Why are you posting about Amarillo on the Lubbock forum? They the two cities are about two hours away. I have lived in both cities, mainly in Amarillo. The immediate area around Amarillo College main campus is nice with older homes, many of them pricey. Sometimes there are efficiency or garage apartments in these neighborhoods listed on Craigslist if you want something within walking distance. I can't think of any apartment complexes odd the bat that are very close to Amarillo College. There are also Amarillo College throughout town (vo-tec, medical complexes) that are not located by the main campus, so it would be good to ensure the main campus on Washington St is the one you're referring to.

If your child is commuting/driving, I can probably give better neighborhood recommendations. I personally don't like apartment complexes, but they are what they are, and there are some decent ones. What is the rental budget? That will help point you in the right direction.
