Hi, looking for a small house in a decent area, hopefully as cheap as possible. Would be nice to be able to walk to do errands and shop. University areas would be fine, but not complete student ghettos. It looks like there is lots of potential in Lubbock. Would it be a better choice than Midland? Is there much of a southwest flair there? I love great tacos and cold beers....How are water/sewer/trash rates there? Thanks in advance.

It does appear that prices are lower in parts of Lubbock. Odessa seems to be more than both.
