As this thread begins, please know that this is very early and could change with new events coming up and more things yet to even be known. Lubbock Mayor Dan Pope is considering a new highway westward from the Hub City out to Las Cruces, New Mexico, in an effort to improve movement of various goods and products. On this forum, I have shared ideas for corridor along those same lines, but in this thread, what will be talked about here is Mayor Pope's idea and what he'd like to see done. The proposed route is simply just that: a proposal. It's in its infant stages. This link has just a small tidbit of info, but that will be a start for now.

Look for the info in the very last sentence of the article. So, this thread will be about that. I know that there will be speculation about it when more word does get out. Please remember the C-D rules (stay on topic, no trolling) and let's make this a good one.

I hadn't heard about the highway to the west. I think focus should remain on PTP, for now.
