Road just ends in the middle of the ghetto with no rhyme or reason? Who designed this road / I assume there were plans for it to continue East, but what happened?

Yes, the Road was suppose extend all the way and connect to I-16 but the land between the I-16 and the extended part of Eisenhower is Indian reserved land and they wouldn't allow them build through that land to complete the project so it was frozen until an alternate route plan is developed....

The most updated Fact Sheet regarding the Fall Line Freeway states, "...since no suitable alternative has been found, ...(the FLF) will follow existing I-75 and I=16 through Macon"

It is a done deal. The Eisenhower extension is dead.

What a colossal waste of money to build that viaduct. Didnt someone figure this out ahead of time?

I think they thought if they started building it, nobody would resist.

I'm glad that I joined this forum, I'm learning something new about my new home every day!
Thank you!

I couldn't understand the reasoning of the design either.... Actually there are quite a number of bizarre deisgns that I have encountered, usually as I'm getting lost driving round before I updated my GPS...
