Hi guys, I and my friends are planning to make a trip to Macon on this Thursday to take pics of the wonderful cherry blossoms over there. I know that the festival starts on March 16th but I just can't wait until then. Can someone please tell me if the cherry have bloomed yet? It's kinda far from my place to drive over there so...
Thank u guys. I really appreciate it!

Mostly just the Bradford Pears are blooming right now. The Cherry Blossoms are beginning to swell. They should be right on time for the festival. If you come now, there won't be much to see. A few are starting to pop (ones near streets and buildings where you have a microclimate that is a tad warmer), but the ones in my neighborhood still look like the dead of winter with slightly swollen buds. I would wait at least another week and check back in. At this time of year a couple of 75-80 degree days is all it takes to see some major changes.
