Does anyone have any idea how to get internet access in Lizella? It seems like no companies offer it out here. I guess we're in the boondocks too far. Do any other people in Lizella have Internet? Which company did you use?

If you are way way out, your only option may be satellite internet through a company like DISH. (there are others). It is rather pricey if you want high data limits (to stream movies etc), but it is very reasonable for general web surfing, emails, citydata, etc.

If Cox doesn't serve your area with cable and thus internet and ATT doesn't serve you with a DSL option, satellite is the only option remaining unless you have an unlimited cell phone plan and can tether into it, but that is not a good long term option as it doesn't work as well as advertised many times.

Dial up is still an option if you only need email and very limited web surfing...most web pages are so graphically intensive now that dial up is painfully slow to most.

Thanks for your replies. I am trying to get access with Cox, so hopefully that will work out. Yes, the satellite option is very expensive. Ouch!
