This should help with some of the traffic issues in the area...
Quote:
A new traffic circle could be coming to north Macon.
It would be located on Riverside Drive, Highway 87, at the Bass Road-Arkwright Road intersection.
The Macon-Bibb County Commission is scheduled to discuss Tuesday whether to give Mayor Robert Reichert the go-ahead to sign an agreement with the state Department of Transportation.
The goal would be to improve traffic flow.
Bibb County already has two roundabouts: near Tattnall Square Park in College Hill and on Thomaston Road in west Bibb.
This will likely be the fifth roundabout to being built in Macon - Bibb. There's one on Eisenhower Parkway. One on Thomaston Road. One near the Macon Mall. One at the Oglethrope Street and the College Hill corridor, and this one at the Bass Road-Arkwright Road-Riverside Drive intersection. Though the Macon Telegraph reported that this is the third roundabout that is being built, they simply forgot to write in the story about the roundabout near the Macon Mall, and the one on Eisenhower Parkway.
