The Macon-Bibb County Planning and Zoning Commission is hosting the meeting Nov. 29 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Macon-Bibb County Government Center, 700 Poplar Street. The plan outlines transportation, economic, housing and other goals over a 20 year period.

The public’s involvement in the plan is important, said Jim Thomas, executive director of the Planning and Zoning Commission.

“Your input is valuable to the future growth of Macon-Bibb County,” he said in a news release.

For more information, contact Senior Planner Gregory Brown at 478-751-7463 or gbrown@mbpz.org.

It is time to start building upscale high density projects. Look to our west at the state of Alabama. Such as it's cities of Birmingham, Montgomery, and Mobile. The urban core as far as their sky lines in those cities look fantastic.

I agree with 100% Its time for Macon to do the same. However to do believe it will start soon because interest and demand in DT Macon is really growing.

So True, but Macon-Bibb has to start investing in it's Transit System as well, and that's ASAP.. Not sure what's going on with the leaders in that department.
