This happened from Wednesday through Sunday. My sister in law was down here during that time and said she was heading back to Atlanta because they don't do stings for traffic violations in the A.

They did this in Augusta a couple of years ago. They had road blocks set up all over. It was a major hassle and adversely affect a lot of businesses. I understand the need to catch impaired drivers but this went way too far and it felt like living under Marshal law in an authoritarian police state. It is interesting that Metro Atlanta has so far not been subjected to rolling thunder. I mean if this is about public safety why is the state's largest metro exempt. I think this is more about revenue than public safety, hence why many people in this area nicknamed it Operation Rolling Plunder.

They did it in Savannah a few weeks ago right downtown and pissed off a lot of people including tourists. Not smart. Not good.
