I'm hoping someone might be able to recommend an alternate driving route that avoids the Beltline.

Traveling from Fish Hatch (just N of beltline on Damon Rd), to Demming Way, Middleton

I know it's probably crazy to plan a route that doesn't involve the Beltline.
But I am looking for an alternate route, for times when the rain is lashing or times when I just can't face the Beltline.

I'd be traveling at about 6:30am so might be ahead of the worst traffic.

The route using the fewest roads is to go south on Fish Hatch, turn right on McKee all the way to Pleasant View. Turn right, go north all the way to University Ave, right on that road, Deming Way is nearby.

I can't imagine the Beltline is that bad at 6:30. Then again, I'm sound asleep at that point and wouldn't necessarily know what traffic is like.

Of course, if you're not a fan of that or Granite's suggestion, I guess you could always head north on Fish Hatch/Park toward campus, then head west on either Regent or University, eventually taking University all the way to Middleton.

But, again, it seems like the Beltline is the way to go.

I've never not regretted taking an alternate route. On days when the beltline is a mess, the alternate routes are almost always a mess, too. That said, I think Granite's suggestion of taking PD would be your best bet.
