Hi,
Our daughter has Down syndrome, she is in 1st grade, and we currently live in Houston, TX. We are big supporters of inclusion practices. For us less than 60% in General Ed is simply backward education, and therefore not acceptable. Unfortunately, Special Ed practices are way behind the times here in Texas.

We are contemplating moving to Madison, so I have a few questions if you all don't mind.

1) Do any of you have positive inclusion experiences (60% or more in Gen. Ed.) with Madison Public Elementary Schools?

2) If so, could you please share the name of the school and your story?

3) Any other inclusive school districts in the Madison area that you could recommend?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Call the superintendent's office. That's what is truly required to get a contact in the Madison schools to discuss particulars. Too general to be useful here.
