We are relocating to madison and have 3 kids. We plan on renting our house out here in Nashville for the 1st year and renting up there until we are sure where we want to buy. Gut feeling says Middleton. We are looking for rentals in that area and unable to find anthing online. help anyone?

I would recommend either LeSilve Apartments or Blackhawk Trails. I have referred many relocation clients here. Very nice, family friendly, with amenities and close to everything.

I'd recommend the building that has a walkway leading straight to Capital Brewery's biergarten... but that's just me.

You probably would like a house to live in. I would suggest you try Craigslist.

Middleton? Any apartment complex OTHER than Arbor Lakes. I lived there and it SUCKED! High priced for glossed over 70's decor.

BTW....LeSilve is located in downtown Madison and not in Middleton.

No, LeSilve is in Middleton:

Gallina Companies - Apartment, Commercial and Retail Rentals in Madison, Green Bay, Appleton, DePere and many other Wisconsin, Illinois and Florida communities.

I would think the cost of living in Middleton almost amounts to the same as parts of Calif. Maybe not to our extreme, but I've looked at housing online and its up there.

We're considering a move to Middleton--or near by--but would want to rent for up to a year before making the final decision. We'd need a 3 BR house in a pleasant neighborhood. Can anybody give me a monthly rental range?

Much appreciated!

There are usually apartments available on Parmenter just off University, houses on or near Century Blvd (probably your best choice unless your kids are little and have a tendency to run into the street) and apartments on Allen Blvd.

As for myself, I live at the motel where the rates are $590 a month. No utlility or water bills. Free cable and wireless Internet. Been here since 2003 and it's a great deal for renting. You don't sign a lease and the monthly rate is cheaper than renting an apartment or house.

Schools and parks are within walking distance as well as convenience stores, restuarants and a mini-golf course/mini race track nearby.

You said you want a three bedroom place. Obviously a motel room isn't divided into bedrooms, but the largest rooms available are beside the indoor pool and have two king size beds. A cot is available if you need it. The cost is slightly higher than what I pay, but well worth the price considering the room area. Call 608-836-1131 for info

Thanks for all the info, Ricksta. We'll need 3 bedrooms--one for hub and self, one for a relative, and one as office for hub and self. This last is important.

So, still hoping for a price range for a 3 BR house--rental--ranch preferred, and in a safe, pleasant neighborhood. We do have vehicles, though being able to walk near by is always a plus.

We've been seeking info here and there, with not much luck so far.
