Happy Independence Day from Moosehead!

Here at the big Lake we close off downtown to traffic. Parade, outside vendors, plenty of entertainment and a live street dance interupted only for the largest fireworks display in the County.

Have fun and be safe.

It's our first 4th of July in Maine and our first in 7 years (after living in Nova Scotia). We're going to the wacky parade in Round Pond and then attending a reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Colonial Fort Pemaquid in New Harbor. Hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill and fireworks over the Damariscotta River at night. It really doesn't get much better than this!! So happy and proud to be an American!
