My husband and I just bought property near New Sweden. It will be a couple of years before we can move out there, and in the meantime we've been looking up various things we'll need to know, especially as regards our vehicles.

We looked up licensing, etc., but what has me curious is that vehicles need to be rust-free, if I read it right. I have a 1968 Forfd F100. Being an old truck from a coastal state, it has a normal amount of corrosion. It's no rust bucket, but in places where the truck has seen some roughage and paint got scraped off, etc., there is some oxidization. What's the ruling on this? What's considered acceptable? It's not like the floorpan is threatening to fall out, or anything. It's actually in pretty good shape for being an old farm truck. Help! I don't want to have to ditch "Ol' Dad"! Good trucks like this are hard to come by!

Iam far from a mechanic but as far as inspections go As long as there are no holes in the floor and the exhaust pipe runs past the cab you should be ok.
Holes in fenders and rocker panels are ok there is a rust provision but i honestly dont know what it is

Thanks. Yeah, our vehicles are all sound. The Camaro and the Honda are almost showroom shape. (Okay, I lied. The Camaro is a hotrod . It's in great shape, though!) The truck is, well, it's a truck. It's been worked and it'll take on a lot more (although we did have to toss out the carb for a fuel injection system). You know how it is. You find a good truck, you don't let go of it that easily.
