Not in Caribou, but just a nice drive north, this place rivals anything in Maine.

Long Lake Sporting Club

I'm sure there would be some top restaurants in caribou (for "fine" dining) IF there was enough patrons to spend the big bucks for a meal....sometimes it's hard to justify a 30.00(plus) a meal even if you can afford it.

And if it all fails... Quebec City is but some hours away. Talking about a good night out at an incredible international city! And a 100% certified "foodie" French city. Well...Canadian that is, their queen is Elizabeth the II

Of course there aren't going to be as many four star restaurants in a small town as are in a big city. That said, I've eaten at some pretty so-so places in D.C. over the years..
The Greenhouse and Eureka Hall are far above what you would expect to find in a place the size of Caribou, though. And there are other fantastic places around too, like The Castle Inn in Perth Andover, Long Lake Sporting Club, and Cafe Sorpreso in Presque Isle. (And the place Coaster is thinking of--Karl's German Cuisine in Gillespie, right across the border!)
You can get a fantastic meal at any of those places for less than $30..........I'm sure they would charge more if they were in D.C. or Boston.

$30.00 per person for a meal is pretty average I'd say. It cost us $120 for brunch for four people in Topsham last weekend. When my wife and I go out here in Freeport the bill is always over $100.00 unless we eat at the pizza place then it's about $45.00. And yes you can get a pizza and a glass of water for around $12.00 but I don't go out to eat to save money. I eat at home to save money.
