How is traffic during the summer? Would an apt downtown be pricey?

I guess it depends if you are asking about Allagash, Bangor, or Portland?

Uh, there is no Bangor forum. It's just part of the Maine forum. Bangor has the usual morning and evening traffic slowdowns, but there's nothing like you might expect in a big city. Haven't priced downtown apts lately. Good luck.

I live near Bangor, I have not noticed the 'traffic' being any worse in summer than winter.

At a red light to be second or third in line is not unusual at any traffic light.

I went to Boston yesterday, for a 3PM appointment. Got finished just after 5, just in time to enjoy the experience of trying to get out of town during 'rush' hour...the worst Bangor has to offer can't hold a candle to *that*.

About the only time Bangor traffic gets really ignorant is tourny time--mid-February. Then it's every man for himself. Other than that it's pretty easygoing/
