Abbot has a nice little store, the store owners name is barbara, a sweetheart of a lady, went thru a tough time recently,
My ex father in law has a camp on kingsbury stream in abbott, had some good times there many moons ago when my son was younger. It's a nice town, if i ever won the lottery, id definitely have a camp there

no seeums/midges are driving me nuts, they come right thru our screens and bite us to death as we (try to) sleep. Irritation from bites seems to last about 5 days.

This seems like a good black fly thread to bump....

They are out in Knox County, not sure if they are able to bite yet, but they swarmed me good getting the garden beds ready yesterday.

They showed up here (Topsfield area) yesterday. The males don't bite. They're first to emerge. The females will be along later in the week.

the bite is really nothing compared to deer or horse flies; it seems to be very person dependent, I dont even notice their bites or maybe they never bite me, however my wife gets bit and they swell up a little, almost like a fire ant bite but different.
