I'm looking for a hotel that is nice that will allow very well behaved larger dogs. Our dog loves to vacation with me

Footbridge and Captain's Quarters allow dogs. They are small ok properties with few amenities but they do allow dogs. I'd call way ahead to make a reservation. Google is your friend

Maineah, you never cease to amaze! I was SURE you'd say "Leave your dog at home!" You're getting soft in your advanced age.

I'm a Gemini and posess two distinct personalities. It allows me great insight into both sides of an issue. It makes it tough to deal with me sometimes because you never know which personality I am on a given day. Perhaps I should wear different hats for different presonalities??

I was wondering that too. There have been documented cases of people having many more than two distinct personalities. I think a movie was made about one of them.

It would be cheaper then the hotel price on the beach. BUT if you like camping. Pinderosa Camping area on the border of Ogunquit and Wells is cheaper and do allow dogs Greg and Dawn the owners are pet owners themselves and love dogs. Last I knew they also had a van that comes up at certain times to take you to the beach and back so you won't have to pay a fortune to park.
