I am looking for a good motel or Inn in Boothbay Harbor for a few nights in July. I think I did my research. I think I narrowed it down to the Harborage Inn On the oceanfront or the Blue Heron Seaside Inn.

Anyone ever stay at these places? Open to other suggestions. I know a lot is avail. on the internet/google.

Thanks!

Although I've never stayed at either one, I prefer Mid -Town Motel. It's not "hoity-toity" but clean and comfortable and only one block from Commercial St. The owner, Mr. Lewis is great. Book early wherever you decide.

We used to go to the Tugboat Inn while we we on leave. Quite nice and on the water. Of course the hotel doesn't matter unless you're on a honeymoon and rarely come out. Lots of nice walks and cruises there.

Last July we stayed at Captain Fish's right on the harbor. It has 2 stories and we were on the second with a lovely view of the sunset over the harbor. Very easy walk to the shops and restaurants. While you are there don't miss the Maine Botanical Gardens.

Thanks for the suggestions. I booked the Tugboat Inn. Off to Bar Harbor for 3 days (every 4th. of July) then back down for 2 days in Boothbay, then Freeport.
