Hi Maine Writer and all,

After a bit of discussion and vibes with family, we have changed our minds.

Part of the family is not extremely mobile. We can all still get around, but low intensity type activities.

August is when we would be going.

Whale watching is an excellent idea, and the lighthouse tour by boat is great too. Skateboarding- maybe just for the younger ones.

I have many more questions below.

'================

1.
Can one "day-glamp" ?
Like we don't want to stay overnight in glamp style, but maybe do some camping type day activities in modern day luxury style?

2.
I see Maine Day Trip Tours and Lighthouse Boat Tours.
Any opinion on which one is better?

There's no listing on when Maine Day Trip Tours would be open that I can find.

3.
The Marginal Way- is there a go-cart that could be used for older people?
https://ogunquitbarometer.com/margin...e-limitations/
Restrictions with visiting the Marginal Way presently?

4.
Any ice cream places you'd recommend near Portland, Maine?

5.
Do you recommend Wonder Mountain or OOB Theme Park?

Wonder Mountain Fun Park
https://www.facebook.com/wondermountainfunpark/
The regular website seems down- maybe because not in season currently?

OR

Old school theme park:
May go by "Old Orchard Beach (OOB) Theme Park"
Palace Playland and Funtown Splashtown USA

There is a lobster shack right next to Two Lights State Park, which is an outstanding location in Cape Elizabeth. Also nearby there are Kettle Cove, Crescent Beach State Park and Fort Williams Park - all outstanding publicly accessible spots.

What in the world qualifies as "camping type day activities in modern day luxury style?" You can rent an overnight glamp spot, hang out there all day then go sleep somewhere else. Watch out for lyme disease carrying tiny deer ticks. Check everyone's body and scalp thoroughly every day. I had five of the little suckers on me over the course of last summer.

I don't know what qualifies as glamping during the day only? Maybe glamping is only an overnight thing only. Non-glamping overnight accommodations have already been made, but I would've personally preferred trying out glamping in Maine realizing it's "a thing" now, but it's not up to me.

Thank you for the tick advice.

Glamping probably doesn't get more upscale than Terramor. I had no idea place like this exit in Maine. https://terramoroutdoorresort.com/
