We spent the day in Baxter State Park. We watched this cow feeding in Sandy Stream Pond. When she left the pond I left Big Rock in hopes of finding her on the board walk at another part of the pond. Instead, she left the pond and we met up before she got to the foot path.

Was that moose missing hair in the front leg area or is that just the lighting?

It's the sun. This is the same cow. She had her head in the water as we were coming out of the woods to the edge of the pond. I thought she was a boulder at first then realized there isn't a boulder where she was standing.

How cool! You know, never having seen a moose in person, it's hard to imagine how large they really are. You can almost tell by comparing them to their surroundings.

Hello, it's me again. Now that I feel good enough, (I had lower back surgery in late April) I went out to the backyard to snap some shots. I've only got a few though (well, 3 pictures I really liked).

Our new lupines! Well, they're not new actually, but a couple years ago they were. Mom loves lupines, so she introduced one plant into the backyard. There are now 7 back there!

I need a new camera. This picture proves that my imagination is too good for my current camera. Can anyone reccomend to me a good low-cost camera to take stylish shots like these without blur, like some of the other pictures here? I think this thing is really stifling my creativity.

Here is a section of field near the edge of the woods just filled with flowers.

You can fix the blur problem without a new camera. Auto focus, right? It focused on the grass in the background instead of the flower. Before you push the button all the way down you might feel a short hesitation. Stop right there ad look at the photo you're about to take. If the flower isn't clear you need to release the button and re-aim. If you've zoomed in you can zoom out, step back a foot or two, and zoom in again. You might have been too close to the object. Does that make sense?
