Great moose pictures, Maine Writer! I can't wait to see some up close myself again! When I was about 12, my family and I lived in Canada for 2 years. We lived in the mountains, and saw moose sometimes. Once a moose blocked the road, and we all had to just wait in our cars until he decided to move along. Beautiful, majestic animals, IMO!

If the flower isn't clear you need to release the button and re-aim. If you've zoomed in you can zoom out, step back a foot or two, and zoom in again. You might have been too close to the object. Does that make sense?

Maine Writer, the moose pics are wonderful...thank you! I saw my first moose (in the wild) just a couple weeks ago when we were up there. I suppose for some of you it might be a ho hum event...but i was thrilled. Wish our pictures had come out nice as yours!

I don't think it matters how long we've been there, it's never a ho-hum event. It's still like "Oh wow, look there's another one!"

The moon was setting behind Katahdin while we watched the moose at Sandy Stream Pond.

A bull some where in the south side of the park.

Thanks. It's hard to take a poor photo in such a perfect setting.

Our new lupines! Well, they're not new actually, but a couple years ago they were. Mom loves lupines, so she introduced one plant into the backyard. There are now 7 back there!

I need a new camera. This picture proves that my imagination is too good for my current camera. Can anyone reccomend to me a good low-cost camera to take stylish shots like these without blur, like some of the other pictures here? I think this thing is really stifling my creativity.

Here is a section of field near the edge of the woods just filled with flowers.

I love the picture of the lupines.....my Mother also loved them and collected seed and planted them....I associate them with her....and in my new home in Maine I have started two -- a rose colored one and a blue one. For me plants have the power to call in people who have past....more than just remind me of them....to bring their energy into my surroundings.

I am using your picture as my background on the computer screen, I hope that you don't mind. I think that it and the last one would make a beautiful textile or wall paper print.....so intricate and delicate. Beautiful, thanks for sharing.
