owners to use. In the future I wouldn't be surprised that the state will require "organized" towns adopt these zoning laws before receiving state and federal monies-like they are doing now in regards to shore land zoning laws. We just had to update our shore land plan to satisfy these new laws to get our share of road maintenance money.
Thank you 7th for responding, I am so excited to be moving there! It's about time people woke up to the fact that nature is our gift , not our right. By the way , your son has THE most beautiful eyes! I don't blame you for gushing!

I hope your right Forest but your in upper Maine? I think they are planning one of those master neighborhoods in a suburb of Portland. One that emulates the close town feel of a main street town...I gasped when I saw it on realtor.com. The thing that scares me about stuff like that is that it doesn't stop. There is no line that the builders say o.k. boys - that's enough. If enough people are buying that kind of thing ...they will keep going. Maybe I'm just a little paranoid...I don't know. I love the line in the song 'big yellow taxi' -"they paved paradise to put up a parking lot".

Hi MRV-this bridge is on Rt.5 North (if you are coming from Rumford heading West.) Take a right on 5 and approximately 8 miles up (on 5) you will see "Covered Bridge Road".Take that right and it is 100 yards up the road. The neat thing is you can still drive across it!
