Totally relevant to the Maine photo thread, as there's an underground cult of us Mainers who buy stuffed animals en masse from Goodwill or the local Sally - for our dogs. Our dogs carry these animals about, wedged firmly in their gaping maws, until they decide they need their maws for something else; the animal is thus deposited, and ages to a fine patina, such as the little lambie, whose photo 7th posted.

Or, maybe a kid jettisoned it.
I thought it was the remains of a Chupacabra.

nice wedding pics, 7th gen. Your little sister?

poor lambie-never had a dog that played with toys. But then I've never had a dog that didn't have a white muzzle. Except Maggie, and her fave toy was aluminum cans.

Missed your photos, John. Hope you and Kelly are still out roaming the hills. Don't know if you're interested but the latest issue of Down East has a short but nice article on Bangor and some info on hiking trails (haven't read those yet).

Where do I find this "Down East" publication to read?

probably in any decent size place that sells magazines-grocery store, walmart, etc. Or even a book store if You're fortunate enough to live near one.
(Or a library if you want to live up to a Maine image )

the subtitle is 'the magazine of Maine'. It's not an official govt publication, and there was a topic about it on this board a while back that indicates that most Mainers aren't impressed with it. At leat the ones who post here.

but I'm not from Maine and I like the magazine.

not my dog. She wouldn't have made the trip all the way to ME. Poor Jessie would get sick just going to the vet! Then poor Jessie's owner would get sick cleaning up after Jessie. I miss her; dumb doggies don't know they're supposed to live forever.

Anyway, was just beach hopping last time I was there and saw a few dogs so shot them...with a Canon!

oh, and actually there's 2 bridges-an old and a new. Even the wide angle lens couldn't get both in. But I tried. Wonder if they show up better in this shot.

not a whole lot different..
