We picked 20 gallons of apples this week, and my wife is cooking them now.

Next week we will go get more. I find it amazing that so many apple trees are everywhere! Most folks just let them drop to the ground, for the bears to eat.

And we're paying $1.39/lb for apples this week! We go through about 7lbs a week, my kids love them so much. We've never had one fresh off the tree! Can't wait!!

oh, and you're right, pumpkin seeds are wonderful toasted in the oven! we use a bit of butter, melted on a cookie sheet, then put the seeds down with a bit of garlic powder and a little salt....yum!

there are orchards here where you go and pick yourself, or you can just stop by and buy a bag....it's a great family thing to go picking! you're gonna love it here Elcarim!
