I thought I'd (ketchup) with you folks. I haven't been on here much since Island Mermaid passed away. Lately some contact on facebook between mollysmiles, corgis, dmyankee, msina and some others has prompted me to check in.
I have had a wonderful summer. My beautiful daughter was married at my in-laws home just down the road in August. It was a spectacle for the ages. A wonderful day, no rain, a great group , fantastic catering, dreamlike setting, (and an open bar!!) we really couldn't have asked for more. I'll try to post some photos if I can figure out how.
A month later it was a moose hunt in the Greenville area. The first place we visited was dmyankee's cigar shop in Greenville. Guy was kind of busy installing a pellet stove but was gracious to us none the less. We finally got a moose about a week later the following Friday. Nice 750 pound bull. On our way to take it to the processor in Guilford I stopped and took a a picture of it in front of dmyankee's shop. That's another one I'll have to figure out how to load. Now I'm deer hunting, though I have to say with a freezer full of moose I'm not all that excited about it. There it is... the short version and I hope you're all doing well

Maineah.

Glad to hear you had a good summer and hunting season. Your absence on CD has not gone unnoticed. Good to see you back.

Im gonna have to go to Cabellas to taste some Moose now. Since they have 'wild game' sliced up, and ready for sandwhiches, (they have stuff I never heard of!), Im sure they will have moose on there too LOL

Thats a lot of meat, and your gonna be eating it for two years!!! Just curious, what in the world did you go huntin moose with? A 50 caliber??? LOL... Ya get that critter at a full gallop atcha, and your toast!!
I think I would rather stick to deer huntin

I wish you well...

And, welcome back

Jesse

Thanks for the update. I was kind of concerned about where you'd been. Glad you had a great summer. I was guessing that you may have had to go under the radar preforming some illegal activity to pay for that big wedding. At any rate, please don't take off again without giving proper notice here! It has been pretty boring as of late and we need you to get the pot stirred!

I don't know how much pot stirring I'm up for. Just thought I'd say hi. My buddy shot the moose with a .270 three times and it did the trick. Unfortunately it was in a bog and we had to go wading to get a rope on him. At least the water was warm!

Welcome back Maineah. Most here have been behaving themselves and there is a gathering this Saturday at the Sea Dog on the waterfront in Bangor.
