Is there a military installation closer to Augusta/Bangor/Portland than Hanscom AFB (near Boston) where I can get a military ID issued? Somewhere in Maine or NH would be great. I'm trying to avoid making a trip back to DC to get a new card. Thank you!

Bangor has an ANGB, right next to the airport, where you can get your ID card- there is also a commissary, stop by and say hi- I'm in the produce dept.

Many thanks, RHB! I'd like to stop at the commissary to meet you and see all the great work you've done there!

You have two bases to choose from in Maine. The Bangor base and the Kittery base.

I am not sure if Bath offers new ID cards.

Most militarty bases/posts offer IDs. Camp Keyes (Army Guard) in Augusta is another place.

Oops forgot about that one. Are they open 7days/week?

Thank you very much for the link, retiredtinbender. We weren't sure if the place in Augusta could issue new cards. That would be simpler for me because my card expires in a few weeks. Will still plan a trip up to the commissary in Bangor and check out the produce section and meet RHB.

Forest, I will go to Bath as well because there's a great DQ just across the bridge.

I doubt it, but a phone call to whichever one would let you know. I didn't realize there were so may places until I found the link.
