Oh you should have tasted it. It was a good Brisket to begin with so I would have had to work to screw it up. A real Southern meal tonight. Except I had to substitute frozen corn for the corn on the cob. And I am lacking a good Hush Puppy recipe. That one is kind of difficult to get from people for some reason I haven't figured out yet. I have had a couple of BBQ pit's in Abiline, San Antonio, and Kansas City give me their sauce and dry rub formulas (I had to swear on everything holy not to tell, to get them though.) Not one for Hush Puppies yet, go figure. The ones in books just don't cut it, so I have to do without for the time being.

I will confess, I ate way too much tonight. And still have pounds left over.

Oh yeah, bring it on! I'm full of it tonight, **** and vinegar. Gonna go kick hubby's butt at Skip Bo pretty soon. Wind's howling, rain's pouring down, and we still have POWER! YES!!!!! We snacked on chips and dip for supper, forgot to make mac and cheese when we got busy playing a board game earlier. Oops. But then we watched The Incredibles on DVD, and had a blast. Now he's gotta go down for beating me earlier. He's sooooooo done.

The best hush puppies I ever ate were done with a House Autry mix by one of the best cooks I know. She swears she did not add anything either, and I believe her... It's a art, like biscuits... which I still have not mastered either.

Someone posted a photo a while back of a closed in porch you have. Can you direct me back to the pic? I keep having visions of that porch, and the wind blowing through sheer curtains and can see myself as vividly as if I'm looking into a mirror, wrapped in a throw sitting in a chair in that room. I need to know where that is! It's driving me nuts that I can't find the pic!! Who was it and where was it posted, please?
