DP01131959 I hope you get home soon. Can I dm you with some questions? Animal Planet is starting a new series in March called North Woods Law. It's about game wardens. This will help me get my Maine fix every week. I'm told we have to come back in the summer to see a moose, and I want to try some fiddleheads.

[quote=forest beekeeper;22494181]Got that right. I think that I ignored local politics for many years.

"...When I first retired, we moved to Ct...."

Hi Forest Beekeeper,

I've been following various posts on the CD Maine site, and yours have been especially interesting to me!
In the above quote from you to a question, from January, you mentioned that you #1 Retired, and, #2 Lived In CT!

I looked at your "About Me" info, and you don't look that old (Umm, to be retired, I mean), what did you work at, in your past? (If you don't mind me asking you this)?

WHERE in CT did you live?
I've lived in CT all of my life (well, so far...) I grew up in Trumbull, just North of Bridgeport, on the CT/Long Island Sound coast, then New Fairfield, CT, just North of Danbury, right near beautiful (and expensive) Candlewood Lake.

My Wife & I have been considering moving to Maine!

We have an Aunt, who just retired last Summer, and moved to Passadumkeag.

I'd like to run a small farm/home based business, as you do! (Ginseng, I see)!

Connecticut has become much too populated, noisy, expensive and we're seeking a much more peaceful, nature filled more private and less expensive place to live.

'Been checking out 'The County', on line, readin' lots & lots.

Do you have any 'pearls of wisdom' for a possible future Maine-seeker?

Thanks!

CTwoodnutt (aka 'Irv')
