Molly,

What areas of Maine do you recommend for a family of 3. My partner is a cardiac RN and I have a Graduate degree in management/Healthcare...the problem is our 9yr old is high functioning Austism spectrum disorder and we have her in a great program in Ga now, but we want to find an area that has a school program that supports her care. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Mel in Ga

Mel,
Molly is currently MIA, as we've had snow and school closings, I expect she's busy. I would suggest first try to figure out which part of the state you would like to be in. In your current field, you won't have a problem with employment. Here is a link to get you started for programs available for your child----http://www.asmonline.org/about.asp
Good Luck and hope I can help.

The Portland area can support all your education needs and supply you with a fine job situation.

And so can Bangor and Augusta. Colby college has a great program for Autistic children. All depends on what you personally require. Thank You Paul

Maine Teacher,

What part of Maine did you guys move to? We are thinking about moving there from Ga., but were are not decided upon where? Do you have children and are you satisfied with the school system. What is the job market like where you are? We have no idea where to start and are planning on vacationing this summer up there to get an idea. Any suggestions?
