Has to be the place in Perth-Andover. Kevin and Kate's place isn't that expensive for the room and breakfast you get. Plus they are both interesting to sit around and talk with. (My Mom worked with Kevin for many, many years at the College)

Wow this is great, Thanks everyone.

I am wanting to try a restaurant in Fort Fairfield.. but I didn't know where to stay. I was peeking over the border as well but... nothing was coming up. I'll try again for some searching. I just didn't want to drive to far if I had a bit of wine.

How far away is the amish folk?

The Amish are just south of town, two or three miles. They are "expanding" every time I drive around that area.

Lived in Pa yrs ago near Amish but never really saw much of 'em. That said, they're so out there vs mainstream (both good & bad) that it'll take some getting used to to relate to them. But I look @ it this way, they do their thing w/ beard trimmings & we just avoid the nonsense.

Also, sorry been off here unable to post as pc about blewup w/ antivirus probs (y'all can relate, no?) thus was a mess til now. I loaded Avast on here, & booted Avira. as it froze me up like 25 times today. What's up w/ that?

Hmm, I had to neutralize myself w/ 4-5 glasses of wine til daylite here--hence a 'bad nite at the arena' in my hockey terms, haha. Ok, keep on rollin' ya Mainers, & keep us AZ peeps trying to believe this dream will become reality by early next yr or so.

I still go back n forth tween Bath/Eastport/Calais & upstate to cold, Madawaska. Sorry to ramble on this thread but had to get the flavor of y'all before I went to bed here, at like 8-9am in AZ time. I'm so messed up timezone-wise I can't see straight (well maybe wine helps that along, hehehe)

Adious til someone posts & tells me where to go.
