You know what--I'm kind of missing LTTT's posts. I kept thinking about him a week or two ago when a headline in a Philadelphia (City of Brotherly Love) newspaper announced (to everyone's surprise) that no one had been killed over the weekend. Turns out a couple guys were shot, but they survived. What were there something like 25 murders in the whole state of Maine last year?-Thats a good thing!"

Good things in Maine........lobster bakes on the beach with good friends and good booze!!! And driving 10 miles without ever seeing another car....knowing when you have left one town and watching a gazillion beautiful trees as you pass by before you reach the next town.....

Things I love about Washington County, Maine...no billboards lining the hwys, beautiful coastal drive, "Rocky Mountain Highs", country roads, Mom & Pop country stores, farmers markets, organic farming, trees and more trees, three cars traffic jam during rush hour, the friendly, helpful, courteous people.

now, for one I won't HAVE to delete.....lol

we will have some positive posts going through here for the next few days I think And that certainly helps get things turned around....so the "good things in Maine" right now is the people on this forum who can agree to disagree, not beat every thread down with a negative post, and not personally attack....and who know how to report posts against the TOS THAT'S what allows this forum to be informative.

Along the same lines as your post Molly.

That first rush of heat when you open the door to go inside after an afternoon sledding with the kids. Better yet is the smell of fresh from scratch hot cocoa, that is carried on that heat wave. A warm mug to wrap your hands around and chase the chill away while watching mini-marshmallows slowly melting into the chocolate, and hearing the laughter and voices of the boys as they grab theirs and exclaim "Perfect! This is a day I want to remember FOREVER!"
